I

I’m a single Mom with 2 boys. Zack William Omans &  Aaron James Omans. We live in  Springfield, Mo.

When I was 14 to 16 years old I worked the Spring & Fall  shows as a ring steward for the Ozark Kennel Club here in  Springfield, Missouri. I’ve always had a love for animals and  children. I trained with a 4-H group with the instruction of Ms. Mary Lee Wishard at North Acres Kennel from the time I was 10 years old. My first dog was a beagle-poodle mix. Her name was Sabrina…I loved my little mixed breed. I could dress her up in fancy doggie coats and do weird poodle cuts on her. She had painted toenails and bows all of the time. I remember those days so well. In 1995 my stepdaughter Riley, then 9 years old wanted a dog to do obedience. We heard of Sheltie male, Bruno, needing a home. We took him in and at 10 she had a Companion Dog title on him. At this point we where going to the dog shows trying to look for a conformation breed for us to show.  My son, Zach came running up to me to say," Mom, Mom, you’ve got to see these dogs showing…from that moment on it was total LOVE!!! The Siberian Husky came into my life…

Like most people I thought you could get a show dog from an honest breeder but came to find out that I had bought a woolly, from Arkansas. His name was Cinnamon Frost of Wolf Trax. He was out of a dog called Baree’s Wolf Trax x Powers Cloud Dancer. I was devastated when I took him to a show and had a  breeder to look at and to find out that he was not of show quality.. She was very polite about it, she informed me of his faults and instructed me to find another dog.

I had the opportunity from Mary Lee Wishard to co-Own a Belgian Tervuren Bitch named Champion Dearbhail De Chartra.  She was our first Champion that we owned. She handled her thru her   championship…that’s how I met Angie Henderson.  From that point I went through 3 other Siberians males. Something always went wrong.  I went looking again. Last year was my break!!!

I purchased my first show dog. His name is Champion Sheair’s Red Timber Wolf. He’s out of Ch. Baree’s Sonic Boom TT, CGC x Ch. AM/UKC Sheair’s Open your Heart. Timber had already one major on him from Cindy Yocum-Dobai, owner/breeder.  Timber finished his Championship in 9

months.  I  purchased a new puppy from Cindy, and finished Champion Sheair's Kiwi Mai Tai O'Shacree in just 7 weeks, Faline she is a dream.   I was fortunate to get Myla's Cut to the Point.

Some Breeders will tell you anything just to sell a puppy.  Just beware of what is out there, and research  the breed your are interested in, and know the standard of the dog  if you want to show.
